During 2005, the enchancing Commercial Linkages project, lead by the Beleize Chamber of Commerce of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala, has achieved several trade promotion activities such as:
- "Doing Business in Guatemala" workshop prsentede in Belice on March 2005, by representatives of the Ministry of Economy, SAT (Guatemala Customs), INGUAT (Guatemala Tourism Board), and by the private sector CAMMTUR (Guaatemala Chamber of Tourism) Banco Industrial and the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala.
- The "How to Export to Belize" workshop held in guatemala in a joint activity by the project and the Ministry of Economy, counted with the attendance of more than 100 Guatemalan entrepreneurs interested in doing business with Belize. Panelist on behalf BELTRAIDE, Belize Customs Department and the Ministry of Health participated, and the Guatemala Ministry of Economy to present the results of the Partial Scope Agreement.
- On July 2005, a delegation from Belize attended the 7th Feria del Comercio, held in Guatemala. A Guatemala trade delegation participated in Expo Belize 2005, for second year.
